Auditor

Summary Position:
The position exists to objectively review the organisation’s systems of internal controls and business processes under the supervision of the internal Audit Manager.

Job Specification:

• Reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes.
• Provides input in the drafting of audit plans.
• Participates in the preparation of audit programs.
• Assists in conducting scheduled financial, compliance and operational audits as per Audit Plan.
• Conducts special and investigative audits as requested by the internal Audit Manager.
• Conducts risk management awareness campaigns as guided by the internal Audit Manager.
• Reviews operations to ascertain If results are consistent with stated objectives.
• Drafts audit reports and recommends corrective action to management.
• Conducts follow up audits to ensure agreed corrective actions have been implemented.
• Maintains audit working papers. :

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• An Accounting degree and a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CAor CIA.
• Minimum three (3) years of audit experience,
• Must have investigative and report writing skills.
• Ability to consistently and accurately manipulate Jorge amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
• Proven working knowledge of all applicable auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and industry regulations.
• High degree of aptitude regarding attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office packages’ such’ as Word, Excel and Power Point.
• A working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
