The Tobacco Industry & Marketing Board (TIMB) is a statutory body established under Zimbabwean law to regulate the production, marketing, and export of tobacco in Zimbabwe. Operating from its headquarters in Harare, TIMB oversees contract farming arrangements, runs auction floors in Harare and regional centers, and maintains the national tobacco grower registration system. The board ensures quality standards, facilitates farmer payments, and collects levies that support research and development within Zimbabwe’s tobacco sector. As the world’s sixth-largest tobacco producer, Zimbabwe relies on TIMB to sustain its position as a leading global exporter of flue-cured tobacco.
