ZIM SWITCH is Zimbabwe’s licensed national payment system operator, headquartered in Harare. It operates the country’s core interbank switching and settlement infrastructure, enabling electronic fund transfers between banks, mobile money providers, and merchants across Zimbabwe. Established under the Bank Use Act and regulated by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, it facilitates real-time transactions including ATM withdrawals, point-of-sale payments, and mobile wallet interoperability. The company plays a central role in advancing financial inclusion and digital payments within Zimbabwe’s formal financial ecosystem.
