Mazowe Rural District Council (MRDC) is a key local authority in Zimbabwe, established to oversee the governance and development of its extensive rural district. Formed in 1992, its creation resulted from the amalgamation of several local bodies, including the former Mazowe, Mvurwi, Harare West Rural Councils, and Chiweshe District Council. MRDC’s core mandate involves delivering essential public services, fostering sustainable development, and administering local affairs across its operational areas within Zimbabwe. The Council is dedicated to planning and implementing initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, public welfare, and economic opportunities for the communities it serves throughout the Mazowe region.
