The African Institute of Biomedical Science and Technology (AiBST) is an independent, non-profit research and training institute strategically located in Harare, Zimbabwe. It is dedicated to advancing biomedical science and technology, specifically focusing on developing innovative solutions to Africa’s most pressing health challenges, including neglected and poverty-related diseases. The institute conducts cutting-edge research in areas such as drug discovery, diagnostics, and vaccine development while also providing high-level postgraduate training. AiBST plays a vital role in building local scientific capacity, aiming to create a critical mass of African scientists and innovators to address health burdens both within Zimbabwe and across the continent.
