Duration: 7 Months (Non renewable)
Starting date: 5 -8 October 2016

CESVI is an Italian NGO with offices in Harare that have been working in Zimbabwe since 1998 is in the process of responding to a call for tender by FAO. The tender is for the implementation of agriculture and livestock activities that seeks to contribute to the project; “Livelihood, food and nutrition Security for smallholder women and men farmers affected by the El-Nino induced drought” in Chivi and Mwenezi district. As part of improving its capacity to efficiently implement the interventions CESVI in partnership with the two RDCs seeks to recruit Field Officers.

Brief terms of reference
Reporting to the Project Manager; Field Officers shall among other responsibilities: Mobilize district and community level stakeholders to support the project; Supervise and coordinate the activities of the project at community and district level; Provide technical and logistical support to Field Enumerators as they carry out their tasks and activities; Working in partnership with district authorities, facilitate capacity building for Agricultural Development Association(s) including their formal establishment and administrative functions; Provide technical and support to ADAs in their efforts of enhancing sustainability to livelihood interventions; Act as the project’s contact person at district level; Field Officers will be expected to provide regular update and reports on the project activities through the Project Manager

Attributes, skills and competences
Candidates should preferably be resident of Chivi and Mwenezi with own accommodation in the two respective districts; Have at least five O levels including English Language and Mathematics; Diploma/Degree in agriculture/livestock/community development/Development Studies/project management/social related discipline; At least two years experience in livestock, community development/agriculture extension/sustainable livelihoods development will be an added advantage; Clean class 3 or 4 Driver’s License; Candidates should have the ability to speak Shona and compile narrative reports and projects proposals in English Language; Mature with at least 25years of Age
