Purpose of the job
To implement an advocacy and campaigns programme.
Key job functions
Coordinate advocacy and campaigns activities done by persons with disabilities and DPOs; Organise and attend relevant meetings/trainings with stakeholders in the government and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs); Provide training to persons with disabilities and their organisations on disability rights issues; Generating/developing funding proposals to scale up impacts.
Education and experience
Degree level education in Social or Development Studies or other related studies; A minimum of four years of work experience in advocacy; Demonstrable proposal development and fundraising skills; Excellent communication/advocacy skills. Ability to design and facilitate workshops/community meetings.
Knowledge of Sign Language; Knowledge of disability and rehabilitation
