Programme Officer – Access to Justice: Local NGO

One of the leading disability service organizations in Zimbabwe which works with persons with disabilities seeks to fill open vacancies. Purpose of the job
To implement a programme that provides access to justice to persons with disabilities.

Key job functions
Implement activities that aim to support the provision of justice to children, girls, and women with disabilities; Supporting trainings and coordinating awareness raising meetings with other stakeholders in the area of justice delivery for persons with disabilities; Supervise the work of Project Assistants, ensuring that implementation of activities is done according to plan, budget and schedule; Participate in generating/developing of funding proposals to scale up impacts.

Education and experience
Degree level education in Social Sciences; (Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, or other related studies); A minimum of four years of work experience in justice related programmes within a NGO setting; Demonstrable proposal development and fundraising skills; Excellent communication skills (written, presentation and interpersonal); Ability to design and facilitate trainings/community meetings; Excellent report writing skills.

Knowledge of Sign Language; Knowledge of disability and rehabilitation
