The objectives of the position
Technical Support: Support health facilities in the assigned districts in the collection, analysis and use of HIV, Cervical Cancer Screening and TB data from source documents; Ensure availability of M&E tools at site level and provide on the job training on M&E at site level where indicated; With the help of the MOHCC HIO, DNO`s Office, Kapnek District Program Officer, DSIE to support sites to monitor progress of the HIV, TB and Cervical Cancer Screening programs; Ensure functionality and strengthen the use of EPMS outputs for programme planning and management at site level.
Quality Control and Trainings: Support Routine Data Quality Audits; Identify training needs at site level and provide on the job training where required at site and district level; Support the DHIO to ensure that HIV, Cervical Cancer Screening and TB data entered by the DHIO into DHIS2 is complete; Support SIE Trainings in the district; Monitor turnaround time of results for all HIV, TB and Cervical Cancer Screening.
Reporting: Ensure that data from sites are reported weekly, monthly and quarterly in FACE-HIV-DHIS2, Monthly PEPFAR & Non-PEPFAR spreadsheets; Review data with the District Program Officer and share district level challenges, remediation plans and review of the same; Enter quarterly datasets into DATIM as required; Produce quarterly narrative reports jointly with the Kapnek District Programs Officer; Attend to adhoc data requests as they arise.
Evaluations and Research: Participate in Evaluations and Research studies seeking to measure Programme outcomes and impact in the district; Routinely conduct secondary data analysis and share with District Program Officer.
A Degree/Diploma in Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, Epidemiology, Statistics, or any other related field; At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of HIV activities; Ability to identify and train districts staff on M&E processes; Demonstrated knowledge of DHIS2 and DATIM; Solid knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Access, with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages; A clean class four or better driver’s license a MUST.
