Silveira House Jesuit Social Justice and Development Centre is seeking someone for the position of Programme Coordinator for its Community Development Programme.
The position manages projects under the Community Development Programme, which involves coordinating the strategic planning process and monitors the progress towards achieving project goals. Key roles and responsibilities include programme planning and implementation, grant oversight and resources management, monitoring and evaluation, professional and staff development, administration and communication.
The main project to be implemented under this Programme is the “Leadership Development for Better and Accountable Governance Project”. It demands the following minimum qualifications and skills:
➢ Master’s Degree in Political Science, Development Economics, Development Studies, Public
Administration, International Relations or a related field.
➢ Bachelor’s degree in related subject in combination with an additional qualifying experience.
➢ Conflict resolution qualification.
➢ Monitoring and evaluation qualification.
➢ Project Management qualification.
➢ Previous experience or understanding of the Silveira House programmes/in an NGO or Faith Based
➢ Minimum 5 years’ experience as Project/Program Officer in a related field.
➢ Demonstrated experience in proposal writing and fundraising.
➢ Eloquent in English and public speaking.
➢ Impeccable English-writing skills.
➢ Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to different stakeholders, including high level government
➢ Being Catholic a greatly added advantage.
