IT Support Clerk – Shurugwi Town Council

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Making sure all servers are up and running
  • User support and assistance in using hardware and software efficiently.
  • Software installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance on ICT equipment
  • Hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrading
  • Network monitoring and troubleshooting and making sure all authorized users are connected to the network
  • Managing of user accounts on Promun, Network and email
  • Do daily, monthly and yearly backups and proper labeling
  • Log on all user queries, backups and any eventualities for analysis by the supervisor
  • Managing ICT accessories inventory and distribution to users e.g. computer consumables
  • Do routine maintenance tasks quarterly or as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Provide technical support to Billing System
  • Ensure Adherence to the Billing Cycle.
  • Provide technical support to GIS users
  • Production of reports in Billing and in IT.
  • Any other duty as assigned by the Systems Administrator/ ICT Manager

QUALIFICATIONS




  • An HND in IT or a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or any equivalent
  • A GIS qualification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Accounting is an added advantage.
  • At least 1-year post qualification experience.

  • Mature individual, with a clean record of service, high integrity
  • No criminal record
