FSL/CVA Manager – Nutrition Action Zimbabwe

Nutrition Action Zimbabwe a local based NGO in partnership with Action Contre-la Faim is seeking to recruit for the following vacancies to support implementation of an emergency program in Chiredzi, Mwenezi and Mutare Rural

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy and Vision: Lead the development of a food security/ Cash Voucher Assistant (CVA) programming strategy based on a strong, contextual understanding of Zimbabwe. Provide technical input for FSL/CVA programs; Promote the development of a holistic strategy through creating linkages with WASH sector strategy.
Design and Planning: Support NAZ team in identifying additional opportunities for medium and long-term programming; Contribute to design of new proposals based on sectorial and general knowledge; Develop and provide reports and databases as required by Program Director; Develop and provide reports and databases as required by Program Director; Lead Food Security and Livelihoods aspects of technical assessment in coordination with other thematic areas and/or other external sector agencies; Ensure provision of program quality in all aspects of design, planning, and implementation of Food Security & Livelihoods interventions.
Implementation and Programs Coordination: Develop surveys, need assessments, data and information collection, design interventions accordingly for on-going food security, livelihoods and CVA programs to build the capacity of NAZ staff, as well as project stakeholders; Ensure the tracking, monitoring and quality reporting of all Food Security, Livelihoods and CVA programs; Complete budget pipeline planning, monitoring and monthly follow up in collaboration with senior technical staff; Ensure documentation and filing of project activities in compliance with NAZ policies and procedures; Work with Program Director to identify, build and manage collaborative partnerships with consortium partners, donors, and other stakeholders. Participate in cluster working groups and meetings on food security/livelihoods/early recovery/ CVA.
Team Management: Provide technical supervision and support to technical staff. Assess capacity of NAZ technical staff, as well as other stakeholders, to perform functions; Assess capacity of NAZ technical staff, as well as other stakeholders, to perform functions; Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Security or a relevant field from a recognized University;
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing FSL/CVA projects in fragile context;
- Technical competence in the Cluster system and Food Security and Livelihood sector;
- Ability to contribute actively and meaningfully to complex analysis and strategy formulation;
- Working with diverse stakeholders to develop consensus;
- Effective communicator with god presentation skills.
