CTDO is a non-profit making NGO seeking the services of competent personnel under the ‘Multi sectoral Approach towards Nutrition Adaptation (MANA) project. CTDO promotes improved agro-biodiversity and environmental management, food and nutrition security, water and sanitation, policy and advocacy programmes to promote sustainable livelihoods. MANA project will be implemented in Tsholotsho and Nyanga districts of Zimbabwe. Based at district level, the Coordinator will be responsible for leading the district team working in collaboration with government line ministries, community and other programmes running in the area. To coordinate, lead, maintain provincial and district level relations with relevant stakeholders, departments and committees such as FNSC; ensuring appreciation of the project scope. Also to ensure strong linkage with existing programs; Ensure active and meaningful participation at provincial, district and subcommittee level for better coordination, project effectiveness and sustainability of investments; promoting coherence of nutrition approaches; Ensure joint development, planning, effective and cohesive implementation and monitoring of the food and nutrition interventions; Manage day-to-day project implementation, support Project team to implement program activities as defined in the project document and enforce timely routine monitoring and reporting of project activities; Ensure compliance to HR and donor policies, practices and procedures related to program management; Produce quality and timely district project reports and updates. Periodically assessing, informing, and advising on any district context changes and possible options to changing context; Provide technical expertise to staff, stakeholders and communities with a specific focus on enhancing nutritional outcomes in the design, formulation, implementation and evaluation of project activities; Provide technical Nutrition support within the project districts on the national and sectoral food and nutrition security policies, strategies, plans and activities in line with project activities; Facilitate the introduction and/or adoption of plant seeds, small livestock and trees that are important for the diets; Advise and support CTDO in the implementation of the agreed Nutrition Delivery Strategy, in line with National Nutrition Policy, and specifically on scaling up nutrition sensitive programming through contributing to situation analyses, defining district level strategies; Contribute in identifying information and knowledge needs, and where feasible coordinate, support, conduct surveys, evaluations, needs assessment; Ensure alignment of CTDO activities with national policies and programmes; Perform any other duties as determined by the Nutrition Advisor and/or the Manager at CTDO head Office.
Knowledge and skills
Degree in Nutrition/ Public Health; Masters is an added advantage; Experience in working with the Nutrition Sector; Plus 4 years coordination experience (project management, team leading, and stakeholder engagement); Strong leadership and management skills with decision making competency; Multi-tasking, ability to work productively and produce results under pressure while meeting deadlines; Good presentation, report writing skills and communication skills; Computer literate; Clean Class 4 driver’s license (3years+ old).
