Bookkeeper – Plumtree Town Council

Plumtree Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the Bookkeeper vacancy

DUTIES

• Ensuring effective and efficient management of the section operations
• Coordinating community services and youth programmes
• Managing Orphaned Vulnerable Children matters and database
• Managing informal trading activities
• Administering council schools, stadia, market places and recreation facilities
• Mobilising resources for the less privileged members

Qualifications And Attributes




• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent, from a recognised university/college
• 5 ordinary level certificate including Maths/Accounts & English
• Computer literacy: MS Office, Promun & Pastel Accounting
• High degree of accuracy and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound knowledge of the operations of Local Authorities and social/community services
• Mature individual a with clean record of service & high integrity
• No criminal record
• At least 3 years post qualification experience in a local authority or similar environment
