IT Infrastructure Analyst – Regional Operations

Within the region serve as Primary Contact for infrastructure related issues, remediation and documenting incidents.

STRATEGY & PLANNING

  • Writing Hardening procedures
  • Systems, applications and hosts
  • Networking (wired and wireless) and authentication systems
  • Writing policy and updating corresponding procedures
  • Reflecting applicable laws and regulations, Including privacy
  • Providing R&D on products and systems
  • Increase uptime, security and efficiency
  • Providing new solutions to existing  (and new issues)
  • Improvements to processes with both existing and new products or methods
  • Validating updates and patching methods and procedures
  • Help to define best maintenance interval for type and site
  • Ensuring valid testing of patches on test group(s) or candidates prior to pushing to production

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION

  • Monitoring network, systems and minor firewall events
  • Proactively opening tickets; apprising site contacts of found issues;
  • prescribing remediation or mitigations; offering assistance both in planning, testing, deployment and follow up/maintenance
  • Validating deployments
  • Documenting validation methods, risks associated
  • Writing remediation procedures and best practices
  • Fielding, documenting and responding to infrastructure support calls
  • Prescribing and applying actions in the field for remediation and recovery
  • Responding to alerts indicating ISP, network, server failures
  • Documenting incident, recovery steps and results
  • Providing system and data log retention
  • Enrollment of necessary systems for inclusion in collecting incident logs details to SCCM
  • Evidence preservation in conjunction with instances where either criminal action committed or legal action may be required  (repudiation)
  • This will be further defined along with overall Incident Response policy and procedures
  • Backup policies and procedures – both hardware and software

SECURITY ANALYSIS

  • Analysis of network traffic utilizing existing tools
  • Reviewing Nexpose Vulnerability scan findings, validating exploits to demonstrate vulnerability exists (within reason and without causing production outages)
  • Forensic analysis of systems

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • CNA, MCIT, MCP
  • 5 years, server, networking experience
  • Job holder is required to be fully conversant with all fire regulations and actively participate in all fire drills conducted on site.
