For our MicroKing institution in Harare, Zimbabwe and in a growth context, we are looking for a


Human Resources Manager  (h/f)


As the head of our HR, you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of HR services to our business globally. Under the supervision and guidance of the CEO and CFO, and with the support of Group HR Team, you will ensure flawless execution in all HR transaction for our managers and employees from recruitment to employee’s exit.


Responsibilities :  

Your Key responsibilities are as follows:


–         Recruitment/Employment:

·  updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions

·  maintaining a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program

· advertising positions, monitoring candidate responses, and organizing interviews for all management positions

·   working with managers to ensure due process and fair treatment during the termination process

·   organizing and maintaining current and/or historical HR records

· providing employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits

·    monitoring new employee’s satisfaction and performance levels


Benefits Administration

·         assisting accounting department with Payroll related tasks

·         monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions

·         recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions


Training & Performance Management

·         assisting teams in establishing, monitoring, and conducting training programs

·         ensuring the performance review system is conducted according to the established timeline and procedures

·         coaching managers on conducting and communicating positive and effective performance reviews

·         conducting disciplinary investigations/hearings and administering disciplinary procedures


Employee Relations

·         assisting department managers in training and coaching junior level managers on maintaining effective and positive employee relationships

·         hearing and resolving employee issues

·         counseling employees and supervisors to help resolve work-related issues or disputes

·         assisting department managers and/or the leadership team in planning, organizing and conducting events and activities designed to recognize and reward employees


Policy Implementation

·         monitoring and updating the employee handbook as needed

·         ensuring policies and procedures are enforced consistently and fairly across all employee groups

·         preparing, updating, and recommending HR policies and procedures


Employment Law Compliance

·         ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state human resource requirements

·         developing, conducting, and tracking legally required trainings

·         maintaining legally required reports, logs, and records

·         communicating with legal team on HR related issues

·         representing the company at HR related investigations and hearings

Desired Skills and Experience


Graduate from an international business school (master’s level), with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in the field of HR preferably in an international organization, in the domain of finance or services.

Skills and Abilities:   Knowledge of human resource and personnel principles and regulations including state guidelines for employment.

Demonstrated effective leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills

Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and listening ability

Ability to be adaptable and flexible

Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Demonstrated ability to use logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
