World Education Inc./Bantwana (WEI/B) Zimbabwe is an international NGO that has been working in Zimbabwe since 2008 and is dedicated to improving the lives of the poor through economic and social development programs. It provides training and technical assistance in non-formal education for adults and children with special emphasis on income generation, small enterprise development, literacy, education for the workplace, environmental education, reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS education and child protection. Projects are designed to contribute to individual growth as well as to community and national priorities. To that end World Education Inc. /Bantwana is recruiting to fill in the following key positions:

Purpose of position
Under the supervision of the Grants Officer, assists with the provision of technical support and guidance and in the management of the entire partner grants to ensure appropriate spending, in accordance with partnership agreements and grant regulations and guidelines.

Major responsibilities
Assists with the review and editing of partner budgets and proposals for accuracy, completeness and clarity to ensure high-quality of final submissions; Processes disbursements to partners and track budget disbursements and advances reconciliations by partners; Assists with carrying out pre award assessments of partners and drafting the assessment report; Review of partner expenditure reports and accompanying documents; Carry out liquidation of partner advances; Assist with conducting quarterly audits of low/medium risk partners and periodic updates of partner risk assessments; Provides technical support to partners and conducts desk reviews of partners; Maintain up to date files for partners; Assists partners in resolving questions raised by head office and by donors; Assists in the training of partners on WEI/USAID and other donor requirements

Qualifications, experience and key Competencies required
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related qualifications; Minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification work experience preferably in the development field; Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Knowledge and understanding of donor financial accounting in particular USAID rules and regulations UNICEF HACTA and other donor rules and regulations; Sound understanding of principles and practices of internal auditing.  Auditing experience will be an added advantage; Good Understanding of the key principles of partnership management and the basic laws relating to contracts; Excellent verbal and writing skills; Ability to mentor and build capacity; Critical thinking and analytical skills
