Community Technology Development Organisation (CTDO) formerly Community Technology Development Trust (CTDT) seeks to hire qualified and experienced person to take up the position of Fund Raising Officer/Proposal Writer.
Scope and accountability
The Fundraising Officer will be key in helping CTDO to grow the scale and impact of current programmes. The role sits within the management team at CTDO and will be line managed by the Executive Director of CTDO.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that CTDO build financial resources to deliver on its shared vision and mission; The Fundraising Officer will play an instrumental role in ensuring that fundraising strategies and practice exceed current ambition/goal set; Assist in maintaining current donor relations and ensuring that new donors are brought on board. The role is expected to coordinate all types of fundraising, including philanthropy, private sector, and Trusts; The candidate is expected to work alongside colleagues developing proposals and providing strategic support and direction for organizational fundraising.
Take forward and develop an organization wide fundraising strategy and work plans including tactics for raising unrestricted resources; Advise the Executive Director and all Programme Directors in devising and implementing fundraising strategies; Contribute to CTDO’s strategic and annual planning processes, taking ownership of the fundraising part of the overall process; Identify both solicited and unsolicited CALLS for Proposals from various media and align them to specific organizational themes, eg food security or policy and advocacy; Apply strategies which entail forming of consortia for specific funding regimes; Develop bankable proposals which will be modified to align immediately with specific emerging calls; Ensure the visibility of CTDO through participating in national and regional rural development networks.
Degree/Diploma in a Development related discipline or Social Sciences/pure sciences (WASH/ Environment Management/Water Supplies and Sanitation etc); A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position (fund raising); All applications should be accompanied by certified copies of academic certificates.
