The Administration and Finance department provides consistent support to all key departments within the organisation to ensure the achievement of overall objectives. The department ensures provision of adequate human and financial resources to all departments and also provides constant checks and balances to ensure the efficient use of resources. The Administration and Finance Department is currently in need of a Finance intern to assist with the relevant proficiency.
Managing and maintaining accounting records; Reconciling bank statements with general ledger; Maintaining accounting databases and processing backups; Determining value of depreciable assets; Managing petty cash transactions; Verifying invoice accuracy and any other accounting documents or records; Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records; Detailing financial business transactions (e.g. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable); Compiling data and preparing a variety of reports
Academic qualifications and requirements
Candidate must possess a Bookkeeping Certificate. Any Finance or Accounting related qualification is an added advantage; Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk; Proven experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures; Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software; Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports; Accuracy and attention to detail; Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks; Data entry and word processing skills; High ethical standards and professionalism; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
