CAFOD is one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies. CAFOD’s Southern Africa Regional Office is currently looking to recruit an Emergency Response Officer. The position will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The ERO will support the delivery of effective and high quality humanitarian assistance and resilience programming with CAFOD partners in response to the post-El Nino drought situation in Zimbabwe, providing support to partners on all aspects of the delivery of humanitarian projects including technical, management, monitoring and financial oversight.
We are seeking a motivated individual with solid experience in the sector and demonstrable technical expertise in food security, nutrition or WASH; experience of cash programming methodologies is an advantage. Candidates must have a sound understanding of humanitarian standards, strong project cycle and financial management skills including experience of working with institutional funds. Experience of implementing humanitarian programming in partnership is a further advantage.
For this post, you must be willing to travel frequently and sometimes at short notice. You must have the right to work in Zimbabwe.
