Zimbabwe AIDS Prevention Project-University of Zimbabwe (ZAPP-UZ) is looking for a suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill a position that has arisen at its Regai Dzive Shiri Project in Masvingo.
Reporting to the District Manager the District Support officer will be stationed in Mwenezi and will be responsible for assisting in the running of the programme at district level.
Co-facilitate, in close collaboration with the District Manager the development of district plans; Participate in monthly advocacy and support visits to all wards in the districts; Oversee and support the volunteers’ behavioural change promotion activities; Co-facilitate in the District level trainings of traditional and religious leaders as well as different types of volunteers; Co-ordinate the District Office’s meetings and workshops; Make payments for specific programme costs under the guidance of the provincial Finance Officer and District Manager; Assist the District BC Manager to maintain financial and programme records as per Donor, accounting and programme rules, regulations and policies and ensure compliance; Assist in the compilation of district quarterly progress reports; Assist the District Manager in the management of all the assets in the district office
Qualifications and experience
Diploma in Social Sciences, Public Health or equivalent; Social science degree is an added advantage; Experience working at in the area of RH/HIV and AIDS, Public Health; Knowledge and understanding of HIV prevention programming; Clean class 4 driver’s license- an added advantage
