Clinic Clerk: UZ-UCSF Collaborative Research Programme

UZ-UCSF Collaborative Research Programme is seeking a suitably trained, qualified, competent, talented and multi-tasking applicant to fill the post of Clinic Clerk to be based in Harare.

Qualifications and experience
Secretarial or Reception qualifications; Ability to deal with the public and be a good communicator; Possession of 5 ‘O’ Levels, including English Language and Maths or Accounts; Experience of working in a research clinic/medical setting; Fluent in English, Shona and or Ndebele
Greet and welcome clients in the clinic waiting area, make them comfortable while taking information regarding their visit; Ensure that the clinic is opened at the appropriate time as directed by the Clinic Manager and supervise the cleaning of the clinic to create a clean and healthy environment; Scheduling/booking client’s appointments and informing clinic staff when clients arrive; Directing clients to specific locations where they’ll be attended to and guide them through the clinic’s procedures; Maintaining client confidentiality; Ensuring that the stationery needed for smooth operation of the reception desk are always available; Handling petty cash; Reimbursing participants; Attending to enquiries; Filing and retrieving clients’ charts; Assisting in photocopying and printing as needed; Evaluating office inventories and checking stocks to determine availability of materials
